STRUCTURAL BAY MODEL:
This review was focused on structural and environmental systems. The following are the major points of development that were received from the reviewers.
- Design building enclosure especially where curtain walls touch the roof system. Preliminary sketches have shown that it would be more effective to make the thermal barrier continue from walls to include the roof overhang.
- Express the hexagonal roof even more with the space frame design.
- Detail where dust exhaustion systems occur.
- Design Expressive (tree-like) steel columns to support the canopies at the sculptural garden.
Rashed, I have been pleased to see how you have been embracing the challenge of making such a complicated form come to life with its building technology. I am glad to see how you have been incorporating input from the reviewers. Your modeling and visualization skills have been very effective for helping you address these challenges. I look forward to seeing the final renderings.
