The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is pleased to announce that Cathy Wong will be joining the faculty this summer as an Assistant Professor in the physical chemistry division.
Dr. Wong is currently finishing her postdoctoral work at the University of California at Berkeley. Wong’s research uses time resolved, non-linear spectroscopies like transient absorption, transient grating, and two-dimensional photon echo. At Oregon, she will partner these techniques with experiments in materials processing and design to examine the relationship between materials formation and exciton dynamics.
