Design Week Portland (DWP): “… series of programs exploring the process, craft, and practice of design across all disciplines. … and its far-reaching effects on matters of cultural and social relevance, including community development, education systems, and the economy.”
Holistic Options for Planet Earth Sustainability (HOPES) 25: “… both an attack on complacency and a pledge to resilience. … dares to face the consequences of idealized landscapes and vows to take local action to change them. … We call for resilient thinking that transcends scales, anticipates challenges, and unrelentingly pursues a dynamic and equitable future.”
Journalism from Above: “…the research centre Demicom at Mid Sweden University [will] discuss drones in relation to the media and journalism from social, cultural, historical, technological, professional, ethical or other perspectives. Examples [include]: Adaption of new technology in the newsrooms, cultural perspectives on reporting from above, the evolving roles of photo journalism, drone imagery and audience preferences in a changing media landscape.”
