Scholarships

The University of Oregon Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is proud to administer two scholarships specifically for members of Fraternities and Sororities:

Shelley Sutherland Scholarship

The Shelley Sutherland Scholarship is named in recognition of the University of Oregon’s former Director of Greek Life. Shelley spent her entire career dedicated to building successful fraternity and sorority leaders.

Criteria: Applicants must exemplify the values of scholarship, leadership and service.

Selection: 1 fraternity member and 1 sorority member from the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes.

Distribution: Funds are divided evenly between fall and winter terms.

Amount: $1,000 each.

Phi Kappa Sigma Scholarship

Presented by Phi Kappa Sigma Alumni in cooperation with the University of Oregon Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life.

The Phi Kappa Sigma scholarship is awarded each year to a student with an anticipated 90 credits by June 30th who exemplifies the qualities of academic excellence, leadership on campus, and within their Greek organization, and current work and volunteer experiences. Consideration will be given to applicants with a family connection to Phi Kappa Sigma.

Please provide the following information in your application packet:

Two letters of reference signed and on letterhead (if appropriate) from:
Chapter advisor, House Corporation OR Alumni Board member
Faculty Member
