Emerging Leaders Retreat

Emerging Leaders Retreat

Emerging Leaders Retreat (ELR) is an annual program focused on developing our newest leaders into their best selves. Created in 2016, this program has provided resources and skill training for over 500 University of Oregon Fraternity and Sorority members. This program originally focused on providing strength education to students, but now encompasses community building, personal leadership development, and creating a team of leaders ready to take on any challenge.

If a student has class on Friday during the Emerging Leaders Program and still wishes to attend, they should email their Chapter Coach to determine if they are able to participate.

The 2024 Emerging Leaders Retreat is a program designed specifically for first and second year members of the University of Oregon fraternity and sorority community. In order to foster a culture of leadership, Fraternity and Sorority Life created the Oregon Greek Emerging Leaders Retreat to help a select group of first and second year members gain the skills necessary to help their chapter continually improve.

Dates: April 19th – April 21st, 2024 Location: Camp Tadmor, Lebanon, OR

Additionally, Emerging Leaders Retreat counts towards a chapter’s Standards of Excellence requirements. A chapter must send at least one member to achieve points in Standards of Excellence, however, may receive 10 bonus points if two additional members attend the program (for a total of three). A chapter must achieve the Emerging Leaders Retreat points to receive any recognition during that year.

Emerging Leaders Retreat is also a program that continues to invest in experience leaders by providing an opportunity to serve as a Peer Facilitator. Peer Facilitators are leaders in the FSL community who give their time to this program to assist new leaders in becoming the best version of themselves. Each year, the Peer Facilitators represent some of the best leaders in the Fraternity and Sorority community and personify leadership to their community. For any experienced leader wishing to participate in the Peer Facilitator portion of ELR sign up using the facilitators link.
