Chapter Standards of Excellence Program (SOE) – Since 2020, the SOE Serves to asses the University of Oregon Fraternity and Sorority community on the minimum standards they should be meeting to be viable and successful members of the University of Oregon Fraternity and Sorority Life Community.
Fraternity and Sorority Life Risk Management Summit – This training includes the president, social chair, and risk management chair of each FSL chapter recognized on campus. It is an 8-hour training covering sexual violence prevention and response, alcohol, hazing, and social policy.
Fraternity and Sorority Life Greek Leadership Retreat (GLA) – The University of Oregon Greek Leadership Retreat is a signature program of the Fraternity and Sorority Life office. This program seeks to aid chapter presidents and governing council leaders in developing their leadership skills and building community with each other. Each year, this program is regarded by participants as one of their favorites during the course of their year. Student leaders who fully participate in the program walk away with a network of friends and confidants.
Oregon Greek Emerging Leaders Retreat (ELR) – Oregon Greek Emerging Leaders Retreat is a program designed specifically for first-year members of the University of Oregon Fraternity and Sorority Community focused on developing our newest leaders into their best selves.
Black Greek 101 – The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is proud to support the Culturally Based Fraternal Organization Council in their hosting of Black Greek 101. The program will work to inform & educate interested students about the history & cultural impact of Historically Black Fraternities & Sororities.
Fraternity & Sorority Leadership Development Course – UGST 407 – This course is designed to help students look critically at the contemporary issues facing the North American Fraternity and Sorority Movement, locally and nationally. Students will research, debate, and present on critical issues facing the contemporary fraternity and sorority including risk management, sexual assault, alcohol, liability, hazing, diversity and multiculturalism, and the history and purposes of Greek-letter organizations.
FSL Task Force for Sexual Violence Prevention – Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) executive leadership established a task force requiring one member from each chapter to serve as a representative to become more educated about sexual violence and develop leadership skills in motivating their respective chapter and community to prevent sexual violence. Every year, FSL supports Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). During SAAM, the Sexual Violence Prevention and Education team collaborates with campus and community partners to create a month full of educational and interactive ways to address the spectrum of violence; this includes sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, gender-based harassment, and stalking.
Fraternity & Sorority Life New Member Orientation – Each year new members to fraternity and sorority life attend a mandatory orientation to learn about the responsibility they are choosing in being a part of the FSL community.
Greek Excellence Awards – A night focused on celebrating outstanding Greek achievement by recognizing standout chapters and individuals. The FSL Chapter of the Year Cups are handed out honoring the top rated Fraternity and Sorority with a huge trophy cup to display for the year.
Fraternity and Sorority Life Spring Game Attendance Awards – The winners of the Spring Game Attendance competition get a photoshoot with Oregon Ducks Football Coach Dan Lanning, a tour of the Hatfield-Dowlin football facility, and their very own Ducks jersey with their chapter name on the back.
