Fraternal Leadership Academy
The University of Oregon Fraternal Leadership Academy (formerly GLA) is a signature program of the Fraternity and Sorority Life office. This program seeks to aid chapter presidents and governing council leaders in developing their leadership skills and building community with each other. A retreat style program, the 2025 Fraternal Leadership Academy is at Camp Tadmore the weekend of 1/24 -1/26. This program brings together approximately 50 student leaders each year who lead the community through the challenges and successes of the next year.
Each year, this program is regarded by participants as one of their favorites during the course of their year. Student leaders who fully participate in the program walk away with a network of friends and confidants to navigate through the year alongside.
To register for the 2025 Fraternal Leadership Academy, Chapter Presidents and Council Leaders must complete the registration at this link accessed HERE.
Applications are due by January 15th.
If for any reason a president has a conflict that prevents them from attending, they should email their council an advisor to determine who from their chapter should serve as a replacement.
Chapters must participate in this program as it is required of all chapters to remain in good standing within the Standards of Excellence program. Additionally, this year’s program will review a number of institution and governing council requirements, and attending for this information is essential. Compliance with the required attendance means attending the entire program.
