Greetings! This term I have created a new series of gift cards for the next Eugene ArtWalk and for upcoming art exhibits. I use Koi brush pens and gel pens to create new patterns. I enjoy creating these drawings for the words I incorporate into these designs. My goal is to heal others with my art. Words are important and I believe when we use positive words, it truly impacts how others feel. My hope is to spread joy and love through my artwork. I love color, texture and lines. I hope you enjoy! I hope to get my Etsy shop open for others to purchase a print and/or gift cards. Stay tuned for more illustrations!

My Inspiration is Lisa Congdon! Here’s Why!

Lisa Congdon is one of my favorite visual artists. She is professional, modern and unique in her own style. I see that someday with my own work that I could do exactly what she has set for herself as a dream career. I do have a day job and it often can be the daily grind. However, I am deeply grateful to be able to work in an Art and Architecture school and pursue my Master’s degree in Arts and Administration. My goal with Comparative Technology is to write up a budget to identify what are my needs to ensure I can cover my overhead. This video on Lisa Congdon’s website provides the inspiration and the motivation for myself to write up new intentions for my own art business. It provides insight into why she creates the work she does and why she is passionate about the process. I just love this!
