My objectives with working with Mecca (Materials Exchange Center For Community Arts) is to learn how a marketing plan is developed and re-developed. I am interested in how a non-profit functions with a board, volunteers, how events are planned and how they receive funding.

My hope is to learn how to reach new members and also nurture the current client base. I am passionate about art making, the process and feel excellent knowing this organization is protecting our planet by re-using materials, art supplies, paper and other miscellaneous donations. I loved their Info Graphic flyer on their FB page. It is helpful to understand how much they are impacting our environment. It’s amazing how much they receive and how much they give back by promoting their store, art workshops and how much fun you can have creating new work from old things. It’s quite remarkable!
