Friday, April 22nd from 1 – 2:50pm
University of Oregon
Lawrence Hall – Room 115
The Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network (ELAN) in conjunction with the University of Oregon invite all students and community members to join us on campus on Friday, April 22nd from 1 – 2:50pm for a presentation and discussion with 20under40 authors Elizabeth Lamb (University of Oregon Arts & Administration alum and Coordinator of the White Box Gallery in Portland), Rebecca Novick (Crowded Fire Theater Company founder and Bay Area-based director), and Shannon Preto (Artistic Director of Dance/Theater Shannon and San Francisco Bay Area-based choreographer).
These three authors, along with 17 others, contributed to 20under40, a book published this past fall that addresses the future of the arts and arts education through bold dialogue, innovative visions, and new perspectives from emerging arts leaders under the age of 40. Representing a group that will shape and shift the future of the arts landscape, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Shannon will discuss their experience in the arts and their contributions to the book, while allowing the Eugene community to engage in conversation about the future of the arts both locally and nationally.
