The river lamp

One of my favorite experiences with light is the reflection of light in water. We have a pond in our backyard and I could sit there forever. It is beautiful, relaxing and interesting at the same time. Interesting to analyze is the change of the colors combined with light, source of light and direction of light. How the surrounding and how the whole atmosphere can be redefined with it. I could sit there forever and stare at the beauty of nature.

Nature always needs a small amount of materials to have an impressive effect.
This idea is translated into the design of the lamp. Only the bottom of the lamp has a blue surface. It is folded upwards and covers half of the light source for better reflection of the color.
As soon as light hits the surface of water it becomes even more active and dynamic.
This is shown in the folded pattern which becomes more life when the light is turned on and the blue is reflected onto the translucent yupo material.
Another way of looking at it, was to combine the regularity of the folding pattern and the unpredictable and always changing light and color reflection.

The green triangles are an experiment I would love to hear feedback.
I thought of the plants in a river that shine through the water/ the yupo.
