Building(s) or Area(s) Affected: 1715 Franklin – 1st floor north wing
Scope: This work involves the temporary shutdown of the fire sprinkler system in the north wing of the 1st floor. The system will be drained and reconfigured in rooms 163 & 164 for their remodel. Then the system will be refilled and re-activated for this area of the building. This work is anticipated to be complete in one workday. There is a second day listed on the notice in the event they need to return for any final work.
Details: Horns, Strobes, and Speakers on the fire alarm system will not sound after the scheduled time. Provisions have been taken to monitor the building fire systems during this time and alarms that occur after the scheduled time should be considered real events and occupants should evacuate as usual per the U of O Emergency Procedures.
