Scope: A contractor will be patching failing concrete skim coat on exterior steps and installing protective stair treads and nosing. The repairs to the concrete steps at the NW entrance of building (entrance to Thelma Schnitzer Hall) are scheduled to begin Monday 8/23. This is short notice due to sudden availability in contractor schedule. If there are any schedule conflicts or concerns, please contact Justin Grishkin immediately to discuss and reschedule work by the contractor.
Services Impacted:
- Building occupants and visitors will be able to use the stairs throughout the duration of the work, but access may be limited at times.
- Access at NW entrance outside of Lobby L163 and Hall 163 will be restricted early mornings until around 10am.
- Expect to see the contractor coming and going from the site, and operation of standard construction tools and equipment with noises including cutting, drilling and grinding. There will be some dust initially when existing concrete patches are ground, but the work is limited to just a few spots.
