As you’ve probably seen in the COVID update yesterday, the UO’s face covering regulations have changed. Face Coverings Update: Face coverings are no longer required indoors for those individuals who are fully vaccinated. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear face coverings indoors except when alone in a room or in an area specifically designated for eating in groups. Face coverings are also still required, regardless of vaccination status, during in-person classes and in other UO facilities or operations that continue to have state or federal guidance specific to face coverings. Refer to the face covering regulations for more information.
As such, signage indicating that face coverings are required in the building can now be removed. We are developing new signage to reflect the new regulations and should have that available later this week. Face coverings required signage may remain in main UO classrooms, and other specific locations that have state or federal masking guidelines still in place – ( i.e., University Health Services, Monitoring and Assessment Program (MAP), HEDCO Clinics, EC Cares, childcare centers, indoor youth programs)
