Annual Autoclave Steam Generator Preventative Maintenance 3/23/21 – 3/25/21

The autoclave clean steam heat exchanger is back online. Please allow 4-8 hours for the chemical treated steam to work its way out of the pipeline.

End:      Thursday, March 25th, 2021 at 3:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  Cascade Annex, Columbia Hall, Huestis Hall, Klamath Hall, Lewis Integrative Science Building (LISB), Onyx Bridge, Pacific Hall, Streisinger Hall, University Health Services, Volcanology, Willamette Hall, and ZIRC

Scope:  CPFM Utilities and Energy will be performing the annual preventative maintenance and an internal inspection of the autoclave steam generator.

Services Impacted:

  • The autoclave steam heat exchanger will be shut down.
  • Clean steam will be unavailable but chemically treated 60 psi steam will be cross connected and routed through the pipeline for the duration of the shutdown.
  • No building heat or hot water will be impacted.
