3rd UPDATE:
The clean steam is back up to the science buildings. Utilities & Energy staff have made temporary repairs to the clean steam generator. When the new parts arrive, a follow-up shutdown of clean steam will be scheduled to finalize repairs.
2nd UPDATE:
The problem is determined to be a faulty transducer. Parts are on order and expected to arrive next week. An update will be sent when the new parts are installed.
1st UPDATE:
- Chemical treated 60 psi steam has been cross connected and provided for the duration of the shutdown.
- Utility Electricians, Utility Operators, and Contactors are working on the problem until it is corrected.
- We will send you an update when clean steam has been put back into service.
