UO Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty Geri Richmond has been named a recipient of the National Medal of Science. The award is the highest honor given by the U.S. government to scientists, engineers and inventors. Prof. Richmond will travel to Washington, D.C., in January, where President Obama will present the medals at a White House ceremony.
