Entertainment Technology Center seeks Non-Tenure Teaching Track Professor

etcThe Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) at Carnegie Mellon University invites game design professionals to apply for a new full-time, non-tenure teaching track professor position at the ETC in Redwood Shores, CA.

Ideal candidates for this position have a passion for exploring the full potential of interactive media, have an active interest in game design as it is applied on small and large teams, have a high level of expertise developing experiences from playable prototype to polished completion, and have teaching, research and professional experience in this area. Both industry and independent game development will be highly valued in the review of candidates, along with a portfolio of games designed (including digital, tabletop, big games, etc.). Experience in creative direction or user experience design, or both, is a plus. Familiarity with gameplay programming is a bonus. While preferred, an advanced degree is not required for candidates with extensive professional experience in game design.

Responsibilities include teaching, advising, service, supervising student projects, and continued creative/research activities and scholarship in the field. The position begins fall of 2016. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
