1. Where did you move from to attend the UO? And, briefly describe how you landed on the UO AAD program. Any interesting, funny, anecdotal stories/details are welcome.

*I moved to Oregon from Texas two years ago in the hopes that I would find a masters plan that fit my career goals. I stumbled upon the AAD Program while browsing the masters degree page at the UO website. It was everything I could hope for and then some! And I know I can make a difference with this degree and my BA combined. What solidified my move to Oregon was a guy, who happens to be my cousins best friend.

2. Area of concentration in AAD?

*Like many of my fellow peers, my concentration is in Museum Studies. I am very interested in media classes as well since I don’t have much experience with media. It makes sense to learn because our lifestyles now are so media based.

3. Describe your knowledge and use of technology systems. Responses should include the following:

Computer platform you use (Mac, PC, Linux, other)
Smart phones, tablets, other hand held/smart devices
Digital Cameras, Video, Audio devices
Peripherals – printers, scanners, other necessary and/or cool gadgets

* I have an ’06 Macbook, an Iphone6 that I’m just learning, an old digital camera, an Ipod and various printers and scanners.

5. Do you have any graphic design or media production/management experience? Have you taken any graphic design or media production courses?

*Nope, non whatsoever.

6. Know anything about typography?

*My co-worker tried to explain it once…she lost me and I just get reminded of topography, even though they aren’t related.

7. Do you use Web 2.0 apps? Name those that you use or are familiar with.

*According to Google, I do. What they are, I couldn’t say.

8. Do you use Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, Yelp, etc.)? Name those that you engage in.

*Facebook, but not very much.

9. Tell me something unique about yourself.

*I was born in Panama City, Panama during Operation Just Cause, which makes me a Dual-Citizen.

10. Anything else?

I really wish I didn’t have the flu. Its miserable and I hate missing class and assignments.
