PRIMING THE PUMP: Downtown parks can drive redevelopment
Public Interest Environment Law Conference 2010
University of Oregon School of Law
Description:
This presentation focuses on the ethical responsibility for development of public lands in the era of sustainability in Oregon. Four graduate and undergraduate landscape architecture and architecture students highlight the lessons learned through three case studies they worked on in the fall 2009 and winter 2010: Creating a guiding vision for the 21st century community college, Lane Community College; designing an alternative development pattern for Foster Meadows Town Center in Damascus, Oregon’s newest city; and the Oregon Research Institute’s inappropriate development along the Willamette River.
