Ammon Ebert, our Social Chairman, is a 3rd year Economics student with aspirations at being a commercial pilot post-graduation. When he began riding in 2009, he was drawn to the starter allure of a 2001 Ninja 250, but recently upgraded to the 2005 GSX-R 600 that he now rides. When asked why he joined the club, Ammon responds with a simple ‘I love motorcycles and I want to share that passion with others.” This made him an excellent candidate for our Social Chairman, and he continues to bring in new members with Recruitment Chairman and friend Daniel Wesselink. In addition, Ammon says he learned the hard way how to take care of his bikes, and he wants the opportunity to share that knowledge with new riders to help them avoid making the same mistakes.

Daniel Wesselink began his career at the U of O in the Fall of 2011 on a scholarship for Music. Today, he is pursuing his B.S. in music and plans to pursue his MBA from the UO directly afterwards, followed by an executive position in Information & Technology, owing to his passion for video games. Daniel first gained an interest in riding on the back of his friend’s Honda Rebel. Soon after, he started out on his own 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 250, which he had for several months prior to the 2010 Yamaha FZ6R that he rides now. Daniel hopes to make the club an active, meaningful part of campus life in a way that brings people together and teaches about the joys of riding. In the time that he’s not riding, he enjoys video games (only after working out!) basketball, running, wakeboarding, and just about anything else keeping him active.

DSC_0059aAdministrative Director – Jacob Gianuzzi
Jacob Gianuzzi, newly appointed Administrative Director, is a 4th year student of Biology with a focus in Neuroscience and aspirations to attend OHSU medical school.  A relatively new rider, Jacob quickly became hooked when a close friend surprised his family and brought home a cherry red Ninja 250. Shortly after, Jacob got his endorsement and made a deal with his mother which included her blessing in exchange for him agreeing to obtain full protective gear prior to riding, and getting a GPA of 4.0 or above the following term. Six months later, Jacob purchased and fell in love with his first bike, a 2007 SV650. Unfortunately, less than 2 weeks later, he was hit by an SUV and the SV650 was no longer rideable. After 2 months of battles with insurance, he was reimbursed and purchased a plasma blue 2005 Kawasaki Z750S which he still rides today. Constantly learning, and doing his best to ensure the long-term success of the club, Jacob rides rain or shine as often as he can manage.
