Escherian Math Circle

It is always so awesome to see what some of our most talented UOregon community members are up to.  Here we have a set of tessellated laser cut-outs made by one of them for the Eugene Youth Math Festival last Saturday. Maria Nemirovskaya organizes this event, which uses a variety of hands-on activities to bring the joy of math to elementary school kids (and their parents!). Work for this event was created in our Price Science Commons’ DeArmond Makerspace.  Other events include knotty math, symmetries, and ciphers.
