PSC Update – March 9, 2016

This week the low walls around the atrium are being framed, the concrete base for the main staircase is being poured, and projects for spring break are being planned. One of these activities is to modify the too-narrow trench drain grates (the rust-colored ones) in the plaza so that they fit more securely in the drains. A second activity will be to fire-proof a steel column that is next to the Geology department study room. A tent will be erected around the column and construction crews will useĀ  a negative air machine to prevent air quality issues in the library. We should know by the end of March when we will definitely be moving into the new space.
