Paul’s journey is tracked throughout Acts 15-18 and states that he was in Athens before leaving for Corinth. In Acts 18:5 is when he is shown to have landed in Corinth. Some controversy arrives because his narrative is contradictory to that of the story provided in Acts. Acts goes into detail about the various places that Paul visited on his multiple mission trips. Throughout these trips he encountered many different people from very diverse backgrounds. This is shown in Paul’s letters by his reference to the many “Dead Idols” that he had encountered through his journey. Paul stayed in contact with the group by sending one of his followers back to check in on them and report back to Paul. This report can explain why Paul’s letter seems to answer several very specific questions, including why the world had not ended yet. this was on of the developments that occurred within the group This was a particular problem that may have arrived because when Paul was in the town of Ephesus he may have not known when the world was going to end; therefor he left the topic untouched until he had developed an opinion on the matter. Paul goes onto explain how human wisdom, which represent the knowledge of mankind” is obsolete. He follows this with his explanation of divine foolishness which I do not fully understand. He seems to place himself within human wisdom as he claims that even he does not understand God but comes as a man with the words of Christ.
