Ryan Welch comes from a long line of journalists. His grandfather was a photographer and his father was a columnist and author. Welch had always pictured himself following in their footsteps as a journalist, but soon came to realize his passion for telling stories expanded beyond to confines of print and still-image journalism. He picked up a video camera, and after years of trial and error, he started a video production business in Eugene, Oregon.
