1. Intellectual Property is protected by law and allows people to get financial gain or recognition for their creative work. This can include patents, copyright, trademarks, etc. Intellectual property was designed to encourage creativity and innovation and prevents people from stealing ideas and profiting off them.

2. Minimalist design is stripped down to the basic elements of art, design, music or literature, omitting lavish decoration. This came out of the Bauhaus movement in 1960’s which rejected the highly-decorative styles of the past. Minimalist design is sleek, clean and intentionally simple.

3. Transmedia is a narrative or story-telling technique that tells a story across multiple platforms formats using current digital technologies. It is a process that engages an audience through various techniques and permeates the audience’s daily lives. Example of media used for transmedia narrative include comic, novels, video games, mobile apps, and film. Transmedia can be used in marketing campaigns to make them more persuasive, improve audience connection and to increase financial impact.

4. Affiliation is something that you are associated with, or a partnership between two or more parties. You can be affiliated with a political party or another organization. Non profit art organizations may choose to become affiliated with another organization to form a partnership that is mutually beneficial.

5. Buckley: Jeff Buckley was a signer-songwriter and musician. Hames named his dog after him.
