FOOD on and near campus

An excellent grocery near campus is the Market of Choice (1960 Franklin Blvd, Eugene, OR 97403), currently open 7 am to 9 pm. It’s full-service with a bakery, hot and cold deli items, such as pizza, fried chicken, salmon, etc. and a salad bar.

The EMU student union will be closed June 18-20, but several eateries inside will be open starting June 21. See the map below for more options.

DORM RESIDENTS: Anyone staying in Kalapuyi Ilihi can visit eateries on the ground floor of Unthank Hall (see: Map of Unthank Hall on campus):

7 am – 5 pm (07:00 – 17:00):  PNW Café serves coffee, espresso, teas, and pastry
7 am – 8 pm (07:00 – 20:00):  Agate Street Market is a small grocery that sells organic food, snacks, and grab-and-go packaged food
7 am – 8 pm (07:00 – 20:00):  Duck’s House Express serves full meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, including breakfast eggs or waffles, burgers, Caesar salads, club sandwiches, and fish and chips.

On-campus Housing

Check-in:  If you reserved a room in Kalapuya Ilihi Hall, check in at the main Service Center in Global Scholars Hall (GSH), from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Saturday or Sunday, June 18-19. The street address of GSH is 1710 E. 15th Avenue, Eugene OR.  People arriving later than 6pm, or on the holiday June 20, should have their name on a list, and call the GSH Service desk at 541-346-9114 about 15 minutes before arriving on campus.

Kalapuya Ilihi Hall (SOLD OUT) is located at 1751 E. 17th Avenue, Eugene OR, one block east of Hayward Field. The cost is $84/night for a single and $130/night for a double room ($65 apiece). Either choice includes full linen, towel service, and breakfast.

Hayward Inn is at 1759 Franklin Blvd, Eugene OR 97403 (541-485-2727), across from Matt Knight Arena. They offer an indoor pool & fitness room, free parking and breakfast. The Willamette River trails are a 5-minute walk to the north.

Best Western New Oregon is at 1655 Franklin Blvd, Eugene OR 97403 (541-683-3669), just east of Knight Campus.

Hotels close on the EmX bus

The next three are a 30-minute/1.5 mile walk from UO, but a mere 2 bus stops from campus using the rapid EmX line, route 103. The stop near the hotels is “Glenwood Station,” and the stop at the NE corner of the UO campus is “Agate Station”.  Download a sample route map:  EmX bus map & stations.
