The University of Oregon was recently awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) through their Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics Underserved Populations program (RADx-UP). The aim of this grant is to expand COVID-19 testing for populations that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. Dr. Stephanie De Anda, one of the directors of the EDLD lab, has joined a team of co-investigators who are providing expertise in bicultural and bilingual community outreach and implementation science to help develop strategies that are responsive to the needs and preferences of the Latinx community.
