Early Childhood CARES will host part 1 of its Florence Behavior Management Parent Group on Thurs., Jan. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is an eight-week training designed to help parents learn effective behavior support strategies to use with preschool-age children with challenging behaviors.
Come join a group of parents and share in the joys and struggles of parenting a child with special needs. This is a great group for parents looking to connect with other parents. The bimonthly Early Childhood CARES Parent Support Group will meet on Tues., Jan. 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in room 145 (Spanish) 201A (English) of the Clinical Services Building, located at 901 E. 18th Ave. in Eugene. Free parking is available next to the building. Preregistration is required. Parents need to register for the meeting even if childcare is not needed. Early Childhood CARES will host a Potty Training 101 Workshop on Sat., Jan. 24 from 10-11:30 am. at the Whitaker Modular Classroom, located at 104 N Van Buren St, Eugene. This is a two-part series to help parents learn tips and tricks to help their child master this all important life skill. This session will focus on strategies to implement at home. Preregistration is required. Parents need to register for the meeting even if childcare is not needed. To register, please call 541-346-2578 by Fri. Jan. 23.
