Lantern Design

As a final study for my lantern project, I explored the look of various forms, materials and orientations of the latnern.  My initial simple pattern of alternating the triangles created a cylinder.  In order to change the form, created form the folds, I played with the size of the triangles, discovering a wrapping form created with the organization.  With this form, after consideration of how to create a lamp which could block the direct light from the bulb, I used two duplicate pieces of paper.  Each of these would wrap the two sides of the light, blocking direct light, but deflecting light in various directions.  I additionally tested material color, discovering the color hues and shadows appear much more clearly with white material than black.
