Similar to the software ArcGIS, Elk reads OSM data (Openstreetmap) and displays information on selected cities.
OSM data can be downloaded by cropping a region and exporting.
The downloaded OSM is read by information type. Selecting one data type allows further selection of subgroups. Example: Selecting the type – Buildings —> Selecting subgroups – hospitals, residential, commercial to be displayed.
The plugin then produces layered site information.
