Portfolio

Purpose:

The purpose of the portfolio is to document the progress made over the length of the course while developing valuable computer skills. The portfolio is also used to demonstrate and provide evidence of meeting the course objectives. This gives me the opportunity to reflect on my past artifacts to connect with the objectives I have set forth.

Objectives:

  • Investigate how physical appearance affects definitions of identity and belonging.
  • Explore the notion of food as an art-form

  • Explore one’s own value system

  • Explore the psychological and emotional curiosity for and impact of horror art on individuals and society
  • Discuss the differences between spirituality and religion
  • Examine the role of technology as a force for cultural maintenance and change
  • Examine their own and others values and paradigms of ownership and authorship of cultural media.
  • Examine historical and current incidents of Censorship in the US and their relationship to public funding for the Arts

Audience:

The primary audience of this portfolio is intended to be my Professor, Scott Huette, and classmates of the University of Oregon’s online class AAD 250: Art and Human Values, Winter 2015.
