During routine drinking water monitoring, EHS identified a drinking fountain in H202 that returned a slightly elevated lead reading. The reading was 15.2 PPB, and the EPA limit for public water systems if 15 PPB. Prior samples collected from this fixture have been <2 PPB. Per the U of O Drinking Water Monitoring Plan, EHS is conducting flush testing on the fixture to determine the likely source of contamination. EHS will work with CPFM to mitigate the fixture and collect confirmation samples prior to returning the fixture to service. The fixture will remain tagged and off-line until confirmation samples pass. The remainder of the samples collected from Klamath Hall drinking water fixtures were below the EPA action level.
The results of the recent samples collected in Klamath Hall can be seen at https://app.smartsheet.com/b/publish?EQBCT=b5f2fa0be267456293f538b7e230e013. You can easily navigate to the Klamath Hall samples by pressing “CTRL-F” and typing “Klamath”.
