Scope: The fire sprinkler system will be shut down for piping installation to take place in the basement associated with the new elevator construction. IES will provide fire alarm assistance. Harvey & Price and Bridgeway Contracting will be jointly responsible for fire watch. The contractor hopes to complete this work on December 17th, but it may have to extend into December 18th. If December 18th work is required, the contractor will re-activate the system at end of day December 17th and drain again the morning of December 18th.
Details: Horns, Strobes, and Speakers on the fire alarm system will not sound after the scheduled time. Alarms that occur after the scheduled time should be considered real events and occupants should evacuate as usual per the U of O Emergency Procedures.
