1. Where did you move from to attend the UO? And, briefly describe how you landed on the UO AAD program. Any interesting, funny, anecdotal stories/details are welcome.
I received my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. I grew up about an hour southwest of Columbus in a small town called Yellow Springs. I applied to a number of graduate programs but the UO AAD program was the only one in the US that I applied to. My other top choices were King’s College London and the University of York. After visiting all three schools I felt the best fit with the U of O and knew I would love Eugene, which reminds me so much of home. Schools in the UK are also CRAZY expensive for international students, which may have influenced my decision.
2. Area of concentration in AAD?
My area of concentration is Museum Studies.
3. Describe your knowledge and use of technology systems. Responses should include the following:

- Peripherals – printers, scanners, other necessary and/or cool gadgets
When it comes to technology, I have some knowledge and use but not a lot. I have grown up using both Mac and PC. I am familiar with most Apple products as I used to have an iPhone and iPad but I have switched to a smart phone with the Android operating system. With the exception of basic printers and scanners, that’s pretty much the full range of my technology use.
4. What software do you commonly use? Briefly describe purpose/application for software on your list.
I use Microsoft Office for documents and other files.
5. Do you have any graphic design or media production/management experience? Have you taken any graphic design or media production courses?
I have no experience with graphic design or media production/management.
6. Know anything about typography?
Nope.
7. Do you use Web 2.0 apps? Name those that you use or are familiar with.
This lingo is foreign to me.
8. Do you use Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, Yelp, etc.)? Name those that you engage in.
I do engage in social media. I have accounts with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, etc.
9. Tell me something unique about yourself.
I played Nana and the Crocodile in my senior year production of Peter Pan. So, naturally, I became good at barking and slithering across the floor.
