Deana Dartt (Chumash), Founder of Live Oak Consulting talks with University of Oregon students studying place-based traditional arts in a virtual International Exchange with Native American and Romanian artists and museum staff.

 

Deana Dartt, PhD (Principal) is Coastal Chumash and Mestiza, descending from the indigenous people of the Californias. Her scholarly and professional work strives to address the incongruities between public understanding, representation and true acknowledgement of Native peoples, their cultures, histories and contemporary lives.” The Oregon team of this project had the opportunity to have a zoom session with Deana Dartt where she talked to us about her company and the work she had done.
