The order list is from the most important to least important: creativity health family loyalty leadership prestige friendship wisdom security independence personal development personal accomplishment power wealth expertness community integrity service location
Step2
I did workout at gym and homework with my friends at library today, which makes me feel enriched. I pursue the healthy and enjoyable lifestyle.
My parents taught me to be a loyalty person from my early age, which does not matter with grade or appearance. Loyalty is also the most important requirement for me to make friends. No one wants to make with those people who say bad words behind you. And being a loyalty person will be valid throughout my life. Besides, my parents love doing sports and they often tell me the importance of health. You will lose confident and energy without healthy body. So that I have good habit doing exercise, which will follow my whole life I believe. And as for the goals, I want to improve my leadership skills most. It is useful in the future job no matter what concentration you focus on. However, I feel a little shy communicate with others though I have something to share. I feel like I should be more confident.
REFLECTION:
This assignment was extremely interesting to me. I did not notice before, but I found that those life values are important to me and it reflects my my own personal value system by ranking those life values. It is great to see that those values driven by a mixture of internal and external sources and I love to share them in the following. My top values are :
-creativity
-health
-family
-loyalty
-leadership
I considered that health, family and loyalty were a couple of my top five values based on how I was taught by my family. I strongly believe that my family shaped me who I have become and I value their influence on my life. Those were definitely external drives. Internal drives are different, which were based on my personal thoughts and actions. In my point of view, being a creative people always increase one’s capacity for the future life no matter the career or entertainment. Improving leadership skills also help to control future path smoothly. Besides, the personal actions are influenced from the perspective of peer pressure, as Lewis mentioned in his article (p 7).
Future:
In the future I believe some of my values will change as growing up and experience more about life. However, the important status of health, family and loyalty will never change in my mind and I am ready for the challenge in the coming future. And I know I will know myself better dealing with different kinds of troubles and hope I will have stronger values system with my life.
