Back on the bikes and off to a new journey into Sweden! The group took the quick trip into Elsinore and onto a ferry to cross the sound and head into Helsingborg, Elsinore’s Swedish neighbor. We walked around Helsingborg for a bit, exploring a smaller Swedish city by walking down the main shopping street and getting a cup of coffee. We continued on our ride down the Swedish countryside and stopped a few times to take it all in. It was overcast for the most part, but still a beautiful cycle.
We arrived in Landskrona and took the ferry across to Ven. I did not use an actual road on the island of Ven once as we biked right onto a dirt trail to our camping spot. The interesting part about Ven was that it seemed to be a huge tourist attraction for relaxing weekends, but there seemed to be very few residents. Bikes were a great way to get around the island and made it easy and enjoyable to explore. Once again, a bunch of the students decided to get a whole lot of cheese, bread, fruit, and sausages to share dinner. I really enjoy eating like this especially when there were only a few expensive options on the island for dinner.
