Hey there –
I took Urban Farm from Steve Solomon way back in 1992 or 93. It was a great introduction to food systems. I went on to get a Phd in Urban Studies and I know am an Associate Professor of Urban Planning and Design at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
I teach a course on urban agriculture here at UMKC with Daniel Dermitzel of the Kansas City Center for Urban Agriculture. http://www.kccua.org/
I will plan to stop by next time I am in Eugene. Thanks, Jake Wagner

Is not the nameThe Urban Farm oxymoronic? Perhaps a better name would be The Community Farm.

The Farm could also serve as a portal to the off-campus world by having actual members of the Eugene community rent plots, thereby developing more common knowledge of growing food.
