My name is Travis Teich (pronounced “Tyke”) and I am a senior at the University of Oregon. At the UO, I am set to graduate with a major in Journalism, emphasis in sports broadcast, and a Multimedia minor. The definition of “multimedia” is different in regards to the minor at the UO. The minor program is much more focused on the use of Photoshop and other software to create art, not journalistic stories, etc. So the term “multimedia” is clearly a broad term. I am taking this course, first, as a requirement but I am looking to better and build skills in the facets of journalism that may become applicable in my future.

No one knows what the future holds, however, I have been working toward a career in Sports Broadcast, specifically sports-talk radio. Although, I am planning on taking some time off post-graduation, despite the potential mild repercussions to a career. I do have a part time job as a Board Operator for Eugene Sports Radio with Cumulus Inc. I am an assistant sports director at Oregon’s campus radio, KWVA, as well.  These two jobs require the majority of my time, which do result in busy weeks.
