Resident Assistant (RA) Kendra Siebert, right, talks with a resident. RAs meet with their students twice a term to discuss their academic and social progress. They also uses this time to check in on their residents’ mental health. Siebert said, “One on ones are my favorite part of the job because they help me figure out what my residents need so that they can keep thriving at the university.”

Brittany Nefcy is a Residence Life Coordinator at the University of Oregon. She works closely with RAs to ensure that the residence halls remain a safe and inclusive space. One of the most difficult aspects of her job is helping residents that are experiencing mental crisis.
