University Theatre Auditions:

The Father:

Auditions: Sunday, October 15 between 2:00pm and 6:00pm. Hope Theatre.

Callbacks: Monday, October 16 between 6:30pm and 9:30pm. Hope Theatre.

Please prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue that is outside your playable age range.

The Father is written by Florian Zeller and directed by Nelson Barre.

Two scripts of “The Father” are available for 2 hr checkout, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., M-F in the Theatre Office (216 Villard).


Mother Courage and Her Children:

Auditions will take place Sunday, November 5th from 12pm to 4pm in the Robinson Theatre.

No monologue necessary, but please bring a headshot and resumé

SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN (December 1-17, 2017 – rehearsals begin October 29, 2017)

Directed by Peg Major, Music Direction by Robert Ashens, and Choreography by Caitlin Christopher. There are ensemble roles with stipends for men and women in the show. Experience in acting, singing and dancing classic musical comedy and musical theatre is essential.

REHEARSALS: Rehearsals for all Shedd Institute productions run 6 days per week: Mon-Thu 6-10:30pm, Fri 6-11pm, and Sun 5:30-10:30pm. Saturdays and major holidays are off. A limited number of pre-planned absences are permitted subject to approval by the Production Manager.

Assistant Theater Manager Position – Richard E. Wildish Community Theater, Springfield Oregon

The continuing and exciting success of the Richard E. Wildish Community Theater has created a unique opportunity for an individual interested in Theater Management.  This modern 281-seat theater offers its rental clients a stage with professional sound and lights, modern Green Room and Dressing Rooms.  It is currently home to four Resident Companies and scores of additional users.  The successful Assistant Manager applicant will assist the manager in all aspects of running the fabulous Wildish Theater, including office operations, bookings and contracts, and tech system knowledge  The half-time work schedule will vary week to week based on the theater performance schedule and other demands.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Haunted Hayride-October 23-25, 2017. 4:45PM-10:00PM all three days.

The Haunted Hayride is unique because we need actors and singers to participate in the hayride-part of the event. As the hayride travels down the path (and all the families and children are in the hayride carriage) we are going to have different performances alongside the hayride.
