Bruce Mau, Mehrdad Yazdani, and ARUP will be on campus today, February 1, 2011 to present the first draft of the document that will articulate A&AA’s vision, design principles, and its implications for development of new environments, curricula, and programs. This will be the opportunity to comment, discuss, and review the ideas prior to the final report being submitted. The target date for the final report is February 17.
During this campus visit, the BMD team will hold a morning executive session with UO President Richard Lariviere and senior administrators to describe the project, activities and findings received to date. Members of the A&AA Board of Visitors will attend this session.
The BMD team will present the draft vision document to the A&AA community at two afternoon sessions. The team will collect feedback during these sessions.
The first session will be in Room 206 Lawrence from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and will include faculty, staff and students who participated in the December 3 workshops.
The second session will be attended by faculty, staff, and students and will be held in Room 115 Lawrence Hall from 3:00-5:00 p.m. This session will have streaming video to Portland and to the blog site and will also be recorded for posting to the aaavisioning blog (http://aaablogs.uoregon.edu/aaavisioning/).
Feedback after the sessions may also be sent to Bill at aaarecep@uoregon.edu. To keep the project on schedule, we would appreciate any feedback after the sessions be sent before 5:00 pm, Thursday, February 3.
