Small towns often have a unique spirit and character to them. The locals typically have a problem with change and development because they don’t want to see the transition taking place in their hometown. Coburg, Oregon is located outside Eugene with a very small population. This town is known for its historic sites, antique shops, and farmlands. Over the past year, large houses and newer businesses have been developed and more people have been moving into Coburg. The small town wants to be kept protected and special but change has been interrupting. Farmfancy is a brand new retail nursery store owned by Jennifer and Chad Egge that opened in 2017 in downtown Coburg. This nursery is part of the development that has taken place in the community. Farmfancy is neighbors with several antique shops that are at least over a few years old. Jennifer grew up working in nurseries and has a passion for nature and art. She has always dreamed of having her own nursery and with the help of her husband, she was able to succeed. Jennifer’s husband Chad, grew up in Coburg and has noticed the extreme growth of the little community. Although the locals do not want to see change, the improvements will create positive affects on the farm town.
