The conference will be held on the main campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene. The conference will open in Allen Hall, and sessions will also be held at the Knight Library and at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA). Parking

General information about parking on campus is available here: https://transportation.uoregon.edu/parking. If you will have a car, the best option for parking is either to purchase a

  1. visitor’s parking day pass from UO’s Transportation Services for surface parking lots. These passes can only be purchased 3 days prior to the validity date — and we recommend purchasing as early as possible to ensure passes are available. The linked websites include pricing and maps – visitor permits cost $5 – $10 per day based on the zone you choose to park in. We recommend purchasing passes in the B-West or B-South zones, which cost $5 per day and are only a short walk to our conference venues on campus. Also, since “parking on campus is managed through license plate recognition, . . . you will need to know your vehicle’s license plate before getting a permit or paying for hourly parking” (https://transportation.uoregon.edu/parking).
  2. a garage parking pass (outlined at https://transportation.uoregon.edu/parking) for parking in a parking garage on campus. There are two options, the 13th Ave Garage and the Millrace Garage, which cost $2/hour and $5/day, respectively, and are paid for upon entry (no prior permit purchase required). Either garage are within a 10-minute walk of the conference venues on campus.

Note: limited accessible parking is available at the JSMA (where the conference will be on Saturday from 11am to 1:30pm). Please let us know if you would like to take advantage of this parking option.

Travel

Eugene Airport (EUG) is the closest and most convenient airport to fly into. We recommend flying into the Eugene Airport, as it is only a short 15-minute drive from the airport to the UO campus area. See more information and getting to and from EUG including hotel shuttles, taxi service, and rental cars.

Portland International Airport (PDX) is approximately a two-hour drive from Eugene. There are limited public transportation options for getting between PDX and Eugene. Renting a car is likely the best option if you are flying into PDX.

Eugene has e-scooters available in the area around the university. See more at https://www.eugene-or.gov/4937/E-Scooters
