ROTC is a program offered at the University of Oregon that teaches cadets the skills needed to enter the army. In exchange for eight years of service in the army, the ROTC Program pays for four years of the cadet’s college tuition. Zach Phillips is one of many cadets undergoing the ROTC Program in order to pay for his tuition.

At 6:30AM training practice, ROTC Instructor decides to scrap today’s workout. Instead, he divides the cadets into teams to play basketball for the day.

It’s mandatory for the cadets to wear their reflective belts to morning practice. Today, they get to put their belts down for a fun game of basketball, as opposed to their usual workout schedule.
