PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
For all performances, an Information and Arrangements Form will need to be turned in to the Production Manager no later than three (3) weeks prior to the dress rehearsal. Every effort will be made to accommodate timely requests, but due to the extensive of coordination of piano tunings and moves, personnel schedules, production & staging requests made after the three week cut off may not be honored.
Faculty Sponsors for Guest Artists
Guest artists, performers, and presenters must have a faculty sponsor. The Faculty Sponsor will be the sole point of contact to relay the Guest Artist’s production needs to the Production Staff. All rehearsal and dress rehearsal needs including room reservations and access, and all production needs including scheduling a dress rehearsal, piano requirements, music stands, chairs etc. will be coordinated through the Faculty Sponsor.
Faculty Conductors of SOMD Ensembles, And Faculty Artist Performances
The Faculty Conductors are the main point of contact for their particular SOMD ensemble. The faculty member may, at their discretion, assign a student assistant or GTF to fulfill the role of the main contact, but this substitution must be made apparent to the Production Manager before or when the Information and Arrangements Form is completed. Faculty Artist performances must have a single point of contact to relay production needs to the Production Crew.
Student Degree Recitals
Student Degree Recitals shall be scheduled at least a term in advance of the proposed recital date. Four weeks prior to the performance a link to the Information and Arrangements Form will be sent to the student. Upon paying the recital fee student degree recitals will be provided with at least one stage crew member, audio recording, and a tuned performance piano. The student is requested to provide their own programs. Time slots for student degree recitals are in two hour increments, and if possible are allotted one, two hour dress rehearsal.
