Prepared Piano and Extended Techniques

Prepared piano and/or extended techniques shall be cleared and approved by the Piano Technician, Mike Reiter prior to any rehearsals.
Faculty and visiting artists intending upon playing a prepared piano or employing extended techniques for an SOMD performance or dress rehearsal should check with the Piano Technician prior to booking the event to ensure that the proper piano can be reserved for the dress rehearsal and performance.
Following the dress rehearsal or performance all labels, markings and other objects that have been inserted, placed, fixed to, inside or on the prepared piano must be promptly and completely removed, leaving no traces or markings on the piano.
