Student workers filled 1000 (!) boxes with journals which will be moved into Fenton
Construction of the temporary circulation desk has begun
Many book shelves taken down. These will be donated to 4J Schools
Books are being moved from the west side of the library to the east side as journals are removed from the east stacks
Journals were removed from the area behind the circulation desk and moved to Knight (last week)
Anderson construction began building temporary staff offices in this area which is about 50% built out so far
Temporary walls to close off the phase 2 construction area are going up
Systems staff removed and rearranged approximately 16 of our public workstations and relocated our ILL operation to the Fenton building
Students from the Knight and from Science Libraries have collectively worked approximately 200 hours this week: boxing books, shifting books, moving tables, and clearing out spaces as construction moves as well as “other duties as assigned.”
