I am finding the preparation to transition back almost as difficult as the transition over. Once again I feel like I am doing two jobs, and even more concerning is that it feels like there are gaps in my knowledge for the position I am returning to. I have started talking to the team and identifying some of the changes that were made, and need to figure out how to keep those moving forward. I don’t know if there is any easier way to manage these transitions. Having both directors do two jobs for an entire quarter is definitely too much, but so far the transition in and now back have definitely been the most stressful part of this experiment. Maybe I just need to accept the idea that the work will be double and do as much preparation for that as I can ahead of time…
